Acordia Names Kristina Rickert Managing Director for Its Southfield, Mich. Office

CHICAGO, IL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 16, 2006 -- Acordia, Inc., a Wells Fargo Company (NYSE: WFC), announced today that Kristina Rickert has accepted the position of Managing Director for Acordia's Michigan offices, effective Monday, February 13.

Rickert joined Acordia over twenty years ago and brings twenty-five years of insurance experience to the position. She also brings extensive experience in operations and customer service, with a particular emphasis on workers' compensation.

Rickert began her insurance career with Michigan Mutual in Detroit, Mich. after graduating from college at Ferris State University with a degree in business administration. She has been with Acordia and its predecessor companies for more than 20 years. Starting out as a Claims Consultant for the TPA Penn General, she served in positions of increasing responsibility until joining the brokerage side of the business in 1996.

As Acordia grew, her responsibilities became more focused in staff management areas. Most recently she has served as Senior Vice President, Commercial Services Manager.
