Acquisio Receives $480,000 in Funding From Government of Canada to Launch Commercialization Strategy

SAINT-LAMBERT, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Sept. 15, 2010) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of State for Canada Economic Development, today announced the awarding of $480,000 in repayable funding to the firm Acquisio through the Business and Regional Growth program. This financial assistance will enable the internationally-renowned company to bring its Acquisio SEARCH marketing management software to United States and European markets.

"This project, which will require an investment of nearly $1 million, will result in the creation of 11 new jobs and help reinforce the reputation of the Montérégie region as a centre of excellence in information and communication technologies," explained the Minister of State.

The fruit of extensive research and development, Acquisio SEARCH is a software tool designed to help marketing agencies launch and manage search engine advertising campaigns. In 2009, the global search engine advertising market reached an estimated $20 billion, with marketing agencies—Acquisio's target client base—accounting for more than 33% of all Web advertisers.

"Canada Economic Development is proud to lend its support to enterprises that, like Acquisio, are stepping up efforts to break into new markets and to secure their growth," Mr. Lebel concluded.
