ACR Shines Spotlight on Resource Industry Leaders

Individuals and companies honoured for leadership, innovation, reclamation and Aboriginal partnerships

EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - March 7, 2011) - A business leader who created one of Alberta's most successful companies… the first oil sands company to achieve a solid surface on a decommissioned tailings pond… a partnership that helps Aboriginal students experience life as skilled tradespeople and foresters…and a group that helped to ensure standards for industrial land reclamation. These individuals and unique partnerships were recently honoured by the Alberta Chamber of Resources (ACR) at their 2011 Annual Awards Banquet.

The 2011 ACR award recipients are:

For many years, the Alberta Chamber of Resources has shined a spotlight on individuals and groups that have demonstrated leadership, innovation, and strong partnerships with Aboriginal people. 2011 marks the 75th anniversary of the Alberta Chamber of Resources an organization that represents almost 200 member organizations and is dedicated to the orderly and responsible development of Alberta's natural resources.
