ACT Aurora Control Technologies Introduces New Decima for High Efficiency Solar Cell Profiling

NORTH VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - March 25, 2015) - ACT Aurora Control Technologies Corp. ("Aurora" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:ACU) is pleased to introduce the Decima 3T™. In combination with Aurora's Veritas visualization and control system, this new member of the Decima inline measurement product family responds to customer and partner demands for higher-density characterization of solar cell emitter uniformity and the need for seamless integration into diffusion furnace operations.

The Decima 3T rapidly and accurately profiles the sheet resistance over three separate tracks on each silicon wafer after the diffusion or annealing furnace at full production speeds. This allows complete mapping of the solar cell emitter, a capability that is in significant demand for high-efficiency cell production. The 3T complements Aurora's existing Decima products by providing a cost-effective and compact package for these high-density measurements, and also includes enhancements for accuracy, repeatability and maintainability.

In tandem with the Decima 3T, Aurora is releasing an upgrade to its Veritas™ visualization and control product. The Veritas upgrade provides the means for process engineers and operators to monitor and optimize multi-track wafer measurements integrated with the latest generation of diffusion and annealing furnaces.

"The Decima 3T was developed to integrate with the furnaces for new high-efficiency production lines being ordered globally. We designed the 3T in consultation with leading diffusion furnace suppliers, and because of this we have had strong, immediate demand for this comprehensive product," said Gordon Deans, Aurora's Chief Technology Officer. "Besides the high density wafer mapping, the 3T contains many technical innovations and features that put it in the forefront of industrial capability."

The new Decima 3T and Veritas products are now available from Aurora Control Technologies and through our partners worldwide.
