ACT of Communication Launches Trial Skills Workshop Series Satisfying CLE Requirements Including Ethics

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - September 17, 2007) - ACT of Communication®, the premier trial consulting firm, launches a full series of four CLE workshops located in California for attorneys throughout the U.S. The first of these interactive and cutting-edge workshops will be held in Hollywood, California October 6-8, 2007. This workshop is inspired by the founders Alan Blumenfeld and Katherine James' famed trial skills seminar, "What Can Lawyers Learn from Actors(SM)."

Held in star-studded Hollywood, the October workshop will focus on sharpening trial skills and establishing control in the courtroom. The use of monologue, dialogue, gestures and persuading the audience are a few among the essential skills attorneys will take away from the workshop. The methods and skills learned at the workshop can be used immediately to win cases and catapult an attorney's results. Attorneys also receive practical techniques and training from the masters of effective communication, Alan and Katherine. For the past 30 years as groundbreaking consultants, Alan and Katherine set a new standard in the art of advocacy, bringing forward their expertise in theater -- and using persuasive, dynamic techniques-- to advance the field of law.

"The art of storytelling is live, active and compelling. Every word spoken impacts the audience, and our workshops teach attorneys exactly how to control the fine art of communication through storytelling. They learn how to control the attention of everyone in the courtroom, while ensuring and enhancing their own credibility -- through the fine art of being themselves," said Alan Blumenfeld of ACT of Communication. "Furthermore, each workshop will fulfill 12 hours of CLE requirements."

"All lawyers are actors, or should be. The work of ACT of Communication greatly improves techniques sensitivity and communication, and above all, the art of persuasion," said Brown Greene of Greene Broillet & Wheeler, LLP.

ACT of Communication also addresses important topics and current standards in the legal industry in its three new CLE-credited workshops. Taking place throughout California, this season's workshops include:

-- "Making All-Star Witnesses" in November in relaxing Santa Barbara.
This workshop will focus on transforming strangers into effective team
members on the witness stand and in jury box. Attorneys will also
accurately identify killer issues in the case and master open-ended
    questions in voir dire.
-- "Ethics, Bias, Substance Abuse & Media" in January in beautiful Squaw
Valley Creek. In this "must-have" workshop for attorneys, leading experts
will educate the group on current standards in ethics, bias, substance
abuse and coach attorneys to be media ready.
-- "Test Yourself, Test Your Case" in February in sunny Rancho Mirage.
Limited to 20, attorneys will have the opportunity to sharpen and review
their real world presentation and communication skills with live focus
    groups.
