ACT Introduces the iCHARGE™ i87 Reconditioner, the First in the Line of Its Next Generation iCHARGE™ Battery Conditioning/Charger Products

NORCROSS, GA--(Marketwire - Jun 28, 2011) - Advanced Charger Technology, Inc (ACT), a leading manufacturer of battery charging and maintenance solutions, announced today that it has released for distribution the first of its Next Generation iCHARGE™ product line; the ACT™ iCHARGE™ i87 Reconditioner six bay. This unit is designed for high volume two-way radio users. The unit reconditions batteries that exhibit reduced capacity resulting from improper charging methods and the build-up of "memory." Batteries can be reconditioned using up to 6 independent reconditioning cycles to restore their lost capacity and extend battery life with the simple, user-friendly push button interface.

"We listened to our customers as we designed the iCHARGE™ i87 6 Bay Reconditioner," said Gil Ron, Executive Vice President and head of product engineering at ACT. "This new reconditioning charger is a direct result of that feedback. The unit simplifies the reconditioning process, providing an intuitive user interface to give users more battery service life."

The iCHARGE™ i87 will function on a daily basis as a reconditioner/charger, reconditioning the battery as it charges in a single process. And with the push of a button, the unit will deep cycle the battery to restore the battery's capacity. It is specifically designed for harsh, rugged environments and is ideal for large and diverse battery inventories.

The iCHARGE™ i87 is the first in a series of innovative new products to be released in the new line of the Next Generation iCHARGE battery charging and maintenance technology recently announced by ACT.
