ACT Litigation Services Announces Metrics-Driven Offshore Review

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - June 26, 2008) - ACT Litigation Services, Inc., a leading provider of digital document management, electronic discovery and litigation management consulting for corporate legal departments and law firms, announces its metrics-driven offshore attorney document review service. Based in the Philippines and India, this new offering includes responsiveness review, issue coding and privilege review and applies ACT's management and metrics/analytics requirements to provide clients with quality process capabilities at a capped, per-page price.

ACT recently completed its first major review project, which included a high-level privilege review with issue coding of more than 20 million pages in two months. By combining this offering with ACT's existing electronic discovery offerings, the team was able to process, review and produce more than 1 million pages per week.

The offering is spearheaded by Jeff Samples, ACT's Director of Client Services, who has nearly 18 years of experience in law firm practice support and automated discovery management. "The key is metrics and quality analytics," said Samples. "By using Six Sigma processes, sampling and statistical process control we are able to achieve higher accuracy rates than typical document review methodologies -- including that of most law firms in the U.S."

ACT's offshore review service is staffed by more than 170 attorneys (JDs and licensed attorneys) in Mandaue City, Philippines and in Noida, India. In addition to Samples, two U.S. licensed attorneys manage the review projects from ACT's Los Angeles Data Lab, both of whom have many years of review project management experience.
