Deploying enterprise social platforms like IBM Verse and IBM Connections Social Cloud can present new challenges for organizations with strict compliance requirements, especially as business critical data moves to the cloud. With the release of Vantage for IBM Connections Social Cloud, organizations will be able to supervise employee communications, capture content intelligently, and easily search and review dynamic social content in one place. Granular policy controls can be implemented across all key components on IBM Connections Social Cloud such as files, blogs, forums, wikis, activities, communities, profiles, calendars, and bookmarks. Content from IBM Connections Social Cloud can also be exported to Alcatraz, the first content-aware™ archive, where communications are preserved in context in an easy-to-view format to make review and eDiscovery faster and less costly.

Alcatraz will also archive all the communications of IBM Verse including email, messages and posts. Alcatraz improves how IT, legal and compliance manage archiving and eDiscovery with 10x faster ingestion, search and export than traditional archives. Actiance also allows organizations using IBM Verse to deploy granular policy controls and supervise employee social content such as instant messaging and social updates.

Vantage for IBM Connections Social Cloud will be available as on-premises software or as Vantage Cloud software-as-a-service (Saas) in Q1 2015. Archiving, supervision and policy controls for IBM Verse will be available later in 2015.
