Action Products International Extends Hand of Friendship to Children in Pakistan

Educational, Non-Violent Toys Donated in Effort to Promote Peace and Goodwill

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - February 28, 2008) - Action Products International, Inc., (NASDAQ: APII) (www.apii.com), a global manufacturer and distributor of brand-focused educational toys and products, today announced they have donated hundreds of toys to children in Lahore and Karachi, Pakistan. The products included modern and classic toys as well as children's crafts and activity kits that emphasize creative self expression.

At their press conference in D.C., representatives of Action Products presented samples of the toys to U.S. State Department officials that represent the selection that were sent on to Pakistan.

Action Products Board Member Ann Stone visited Pakistan in late 2007, on a mission to teach mainly women in Pakistan about the importance of their political involvement. While there, she had the opportunity to meet with a variety of educators and community representatives. One educator, the vice principal of a Sufi Madrassa based in Lahore, stated his mission was to educate children and emphasize non-violent behavior as the best foundation for social interactions.

"Educate emphasizing non-violence... when he said those words an immediate connection with Action Products came to mind since that is the core philosophy underlying our products," said Action Products Board member, Ann Stone. "Realizing children in these schools come from the poorest of families throughout Pakistan. I told him about the company and promised to solicit a donation of toys for the children. I was pleased at Action Products' reaction about donating to the children of Pakistan. It is a belated valentine."

"Word spread and we received requests from other cities as well," said Chairman of Action Products Ron Kaplan. "We were informed through the U.S. Consulate General in Karachi, of a large group of children, mainly orphans, who will also receive a donation of toys to be distributed by U.S. Consulate volunteers stationed in the city." Kaplan added, "It is a very trying time in that part of our world. During times like these children are even more vulnerable. In addition to what we've done on the domestic front, we felt this modest toy donation was a chance to promote peace and goodwill between our countries and on a personal level bring a little joy into the lives of the children. Considering the recent challenges the toy industry has been experiencing, we wanted to demonstrate that Action Products, and our industry, really does care about children, no matter where they live."
