Action Products Opens Sales and Sourcing Office in China

New Beachhead to Enable Sourcing, QC & Int'l Sales

ORLANDO, FL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 30, 2006 -- Action Products International, Inc. (NASDAQ: APII), a leading toy designer and manufacturer of educational and positive, non-violent branded toys, announced today that the company is in the process of opening a location in China to serve its needs in expanding buying, quality assurance, logistics, and sales to large customers and international distributors. The office will be located in Dongguan, between Shenzhen and Guangzhou, in the Guangdong Province.

The new operation will be under the direction of Mr. Jim Wu, Director of Sourcing and Logistics. Mr. Wu has been in the US with Action Products for nearly 11 years. The office will allow better coordination with the 25 factories in that area that are involved in producing products for APII's 12 brands. The new office will improve performance, given constraints of the time difference and distance. It is expected that better quality control will be enforced as well as improved time delivery.

Domestic administration of the Chinese operations will continue to be handled in the Company's Orlando offices by Ms. Kristen Zhou.
