Active Control Receives New ActiveMine™ Face Node Order

First Order of New AM2000 Face Nodes Since Receipt of MSHA Approval

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 14, 2010) - Active Control Technology Inc. (TSX VENTURE:ACT), a leading provider of advanced wireless communication, productivity and safety systems, today announced that it has received its first order for its new ActiveMine™ AM2000 Face Node. The total value of the order is approximately $200,000 and should be delivered within the next two months.

"We are excited that in only a few weeks since MSHA approval we have been able to receive our first order for the AM2000 Face Node," said Cameron Sturgess, President and CEO, Active Control Technology. "We are pleased with the confidence that our customer has placed in our company."

The ActiveMine™ AM2000 Face Node solution is the first in Active's new AM2000 product line. Over 1,000 feet of antenna cable has been eliminated and the size and weight of the product is significantly reduced to increase its mobility for deployment at the mine face. Communications and tracking are now enabled at the mine face where most miners work.
