Ad Targeting Technology Firm NetSeer Taps TACODA Veteran Bill Matthews as Vice President of Business Development

Matthews to Drive Product Innovation and Build Publisher Relationships

SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwire - February 9, 2010) - NetSeer Inc., a technology company focused on next generation concept-based ad targeting solutions, today announced that Bill Matthews, formerly of TACODA and I/PRO, has joined the company as vice president of business development. Matthews brings his online monetization experience and relationship-oriented approach to the company to drive development of its publisher offerings and overall product evolution.

"There is a significant market opportunity for NetSeer's services as advertisers recognize the need to target consumers based on their actual intent to purchase," said Matthews. "NetSeer meets this demand with a unique scientific approach to defining concepts and serving ads that are directly relevant to a user's interests at that very moment. Having seen the evolution of online advertising and been part of the development of one of the original targeting networks, I am thrilled to join a company that is bringing science and true innovation to the next generation of targeted advertising."

Matthews has a deep pedigree in information services from his 15 years at AC Nielsen, and has been involved in several disciplines in online media since nearly its inception. His name is recognized industry-wide, most recently as a result of his success as vice president, Western region, at TACODA. In this role, he launched their west coast presence, focused on publisher acquisition, and spent four years building out the company's leading online behavioral targeting network. Following TACODA's acquisition by AOL in 2007, Matthews served as senior vice president, Publisher Services, for content discovery firm Asterpix.

Prior to his engagement with TACODA, Matthews was an early executive at I/PRO, the Web's first traffic verification service, where he built, managed and developed the company's publisher account management and sales organizations. With the company since 1996, he rose through the ranks to be appointed president, a role he held until 2004 when the company changed ownership.

"Our publisher partnerships are a pillar of our business, and one of our top priorities is ensuring their success," said John Mracek, CEO, NetSeer. "Bill is an ideal fit to help us nurture those relationships based on his experience in that space and his hands on approach. That, combined with his extensive experience in ad targeting networks and technology, makes him a tremendous asset to our company as we expand our publisher offerings and we are thrilled to welcome him to our team."
