Adagio Ballet Completes State-of-the-Art Performance Theater

ARLINGTON, VA--(Marketwire - Jun 18, 2012) - Just in time for the summer dance season, Adagio Ballet ( of Fairfax and Arlington, Virginia wishes to announce the completion of a new state-of-the-art performance area: their in-house black box theater.

The new performance area provides exceptional performance opportunities for the students attending Adagio Ballet & Dance School. The theater includes professional sprung floors that allow for dancing ease, an upgraded lighting system which is equipped with the latest LED lighting technology controlled from a single DMX computer interface, and a high quality, industry standard audio system.

Besides opportunities for both children and adults to learn ballet and/or other forms of dance, Adagio offers workshops and camps that focus on performance management and sound and lighting management. Interested parties can also gain instruction for performance production and management.

All opportunities offered at Adagio Ballet are meant to expand their mission and motivational methodology of 'Grace and Memories for Life.' Adagio seeks to instill a deep love and passion for the magical world of dance by encouraging natural enthusiasm derived from both the music and the graceful moves of dance.

All Adagio teachers have earned their BA degree in dance or equivalent and possess years of dance and teaching experience. They also undergo a minimum of 100 hours of formal training with ongoing apprenticeship upon arriving at Adagio before conducting their own classes. Class opportunities exist for small children 2 1/2 to 6 1/2 years old as well as for beginner, junior and intermediate dance levels. More advanced offerings are also available through the Intensive Ballet and Intensive Jazz programs as well as the Student Ballet Company.
