Adallom and Check Point Announce Partnership for SaaS Document Protection

PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwired - Feb 24, 2015) - Adallom, the leading Cloud Access Security Broker, and Check Point Software Technologies Ltd., (NASDAQ: CHKP), the largest pure-play security vendor globally, today announced a new partnership aimed to protect business documents stored in SaaS environments.

The migration of enterprise data to cloud applications like Salesforce, Box, Office 365 and Google Apps, coupled with the massive surge in mobile device usage continues to challenge IT and security teams. As a result, sensitive corporate documents may be shared with anyone with a single link, or downloaded to unmanaged devices; and users with access to sensitive documents may still have access to them after they depart the company.

"The productivity gains of SaaS adoption come at the cost of reduced legacy IT control, effectiveness and purview. By pairing Check Point Capsule with Adallom, organizations can take a new approach to data governance, compliance and security for SaaS applications," said Yinon Costica, vice president of Products at Adallom. "Our purpose-built cloud application security platform extends IT controls to the cloud. Adallom's extensible platform integrates with Check Point Capsule so that sensitive documents can be encrypted upon entering the cloud, and can be shared and viewed in a secure manner when downloaded to mobile devices."

The integration of Adallom Cloud Access Security Platform with Check Point Capsule provides a comprehensive security solution that:

Secures business documents in the cloud. Prevent data leakages and address compliance mandates by attaching security that travels with sensitive SaaS documents. The Adallom and Check Point integration encrypts business documents stored in cloud services; authorized users can access a protected document seamlessly and transparently.

Enables collaboration on any device. Protect business data on mobile devices without administrative overhead. The Adallom and Check Point integration enables secure collaboration on any mobile device. This allows mobile users to securely interact with SaaS documents, intermingling enterprise and personal data, without impacting data security.

Protect from threats. Extend corporate security policy to protect enterprise data from threats even when users are outside of the corporate network. The joint offering provides the right level of security and visibility in SaaS applications and generates unique and context-rich insights into user activities and data interactions, including detection of compromised accounts, internal threats, and cloud-based threats.

"As businesses continue to transition to the cloud and mobile environments, it is more important to ensure their security infrastructure includes the ability to protect documents in the cloud. Protection of information in SaaS applications, regardless of device or location, is a clear necessity for all organizations, and we are excited to partner with Adallom to offer a multi-layer mobile solution that is both seamless and secure," said Alon Kantor, vice president of Business Development at Check Point Software Technologies. "By integrating Check Point Capsule with the Adallom Cloud Access Security Platform, organizations have unmatched security and any device anywhere access for all documents stored in cloud environments."
