Adaptive Planning Announces Outstanding Momentum With NetSuite

Companies Now Share Over 100 Joint Customers; Latest Adaptive Planning Release Leverages NetSuite SuiteCloud Computing Platform, Deepens Joint Product Integration and Provides New Capabilities for NetSuite OneWorld Customers

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - May 12, 2011) - Adaptive Planning, the worldwide leader in on-demand business performance management (BPM) solutions for companies and nonprofits of all sizes, today announced outstanding momentum with NetSuite, the industry's leading provider of cloud-based financials / ERP software suites. Over 100 customers now use Adaptive Planning and NetSuite to manage real-time, integrated, end-to-end financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis. In addition, Adaptive Planning's latest Spring 2011 Release significantly deepened the integration between Adaptive Planning and NetSuite, and introduced new features designed for complex, multi-entity organizations such as NetSuite One World customers.

The announcement was made today at SuiteWorld 2011, NetSuite's inaugural conference designed for NetSuite customers, solution providers, independent software providers, developers and system integrators. SuiteWorld 2011 is being held in San Francisco.

Leveraging the NetSuite Cloud Computing Platform, and through a development relationship originally announced in 2009, Adaptive Planning and NetSuite have developed deep and seamless bi-directional integration between their respective applications. Featuring a simple, one-time installation process that takes just minutes, the integration allows actual financial data from NetSuite to flow into Adaptive Planning for use in planning, reporting, and analysis, and budget and forecast data to be transferred from Adaptive Planning back into NetSuite for additional reporting and analysis. Additionally, users can drill-through from Adaptive Planning directly into the underlying transactions within NetSuite.

NetSuite's SuiteCloud is a comprehensive offering of on-demand products, development tools, and services designed to help customers and commercial software developers take advantage of the significant economic benefits of cloud computing. The complete SuiteCloud offering includes NetSuite's multi-tenant, always-on SaaS infrastructure; the NetSuite Business Suite of applications for Accounting/ERP, CRM and Ecommerce; and comprehensive development tools to create cloud-based business applications on top of NetSuite.

NetSuite markets and sells the Adaptive Planning solution and joint integration as NetSuite Financial Planning. The two companies now count over 100 joint customers, which range from venture-backed startups to large corporations, and span multiple industries, including business services, consumer packaged goods, manufacturing, nonprofit and education, retail, and software.

Alongside the exceptional customer traction, the companies continue to deepen the integration between Adaptive Planning and NetSuite in numerous ways. Adaptive Planning's Spring 2011 Release, which became generally available in April 2011, introduced configurable user interface "skins" that allow customers to deploy Adaptive Planning with a NetSuite skin, so users of both applications experience a consistent NetSuite look and feel. The release also further extended the existing integration by enabling users to integrate Adaptive Planning with NetSuite sandbox instances. And, Adaptive Planning introduced the Hosted Connector, a web-based integration platform that allows companies to integrate with other NetSuite applications, such as NetSuite OpenAir and NetSuite CRM.

Adaptive Planning's Spring 2011 Release also includes new capabilities designed to support multi-entity organizations such as NetSuite OneWorld customers. In particular, Adaptive Planning's new multiple instance feature allows complex corporations to set up and link together separate financial models for each independent entity. By deploying multiple instances, OneWorld customers can develop budgeting and forecasting models for the individual requirements of each department or business unit, while seamlessly supporting the consolidation and planning requirements of higher-level organizations.

"As a finance professional, I really appreciate the benefits of cloud-based, on-demand financial applications -- they're affordable, low-risk, and incredibly easy for managers throughout our company to learn and use," said James Jones, VP of Finance at KANA, a joint Adaptive Planning and NetSuite customer. "I see Adaptive Planning and NetSuite as the two clear leaders in cloud-based business performance management and financials / ERP solutions, and am pleased that they continue to deepen and extend the integration. Together, Adaptive Planning and NetSuite represent a truly comprehensive, end-to-end offering that allows our finance and management teams to make tactical and strategic decisions with greater agility and effectiveness."

"Establishing a 'single version of the truth' -- with tight integration between actual and plan data -- is a key best practice for delivering world-class financial management," said Rob Hull, Founder, CFO, and VP of Client Services at Adaptive Planning. "As such, we're delighted with the tremendous interest in the joint offering to-date. We look forward to continuing to extend the capabilities of the joint solution going forward, and to helping more NetSuite customers move beyond spreadsheet-based budgeting and forecasting to an integrated, automated, cloud-based solution for planning, execution, reporting, and analysis."

"This is a powerful tool for businesses of all sizes," says Guido Haarmans, Vice President of Developer Programs and Business Development at NetSuite. "But in particular it can greatly benefit NetSuite customers who use OneWorld by letting them tailor budgeting and forecasting models to the specific needs of different divisions or lines of business."
