ADB to Showcase Newest Solutions for MSOs at The Cable Show 2014

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 24, 2014) - THE CABLE SHOW -- ADB will be showcasing its newest solutions for MSOs for hotels, hospitals, and small businesses at booth ES-67 at The Cable Show, including the implementation of its new version of its Commercial Video Solution -- CVS 2.0 for the Healthcare Industry.

ADB's Commercial Video Solution (CVS) 2.0 allows operators to easily provide broadcast, IP, and VOD services to businesses wanting to generate revenue from their video services using their existing residential network. Features of the product include the ability for operators to manage their entire footprint of CPE devices from a central location, including provisioning, real-time monitoring, and reporting. New features include a CVS Cloud Hosting service, reducing the operator's OPEX costs.

With the introduction of the cloud hosting service, hospitals and hotels no longer need to have head-end equipment in each premise nor a technician for installation, problem solving, and other maintenance services for onsite visits to hotel and hospital rooms or each apartment. ADB's CVS technology provides an ideal solution to these restraints and costs. The cloud hosted offering allows smaller operators to benefit from the same operating cost savings that larger operators enjoy.

An end-to-end solution, CVS provides the flexibility demanded in the hospitality and healthcare markets. For example, a hotelier can offer guests a full HD channel lineup, a choice of interactive guides with VOD/PPV, and concierge services. In a healthcare facility, CVS communicates with the bedside monitoring devices for seamless integration with the patient monitoring system at the nurse's station.

ADB has designed CVS to keep operating and maintenance costs to a minimum with an easy-to-use web-based dashboard that allows reception clerks and the operator's technicians to view real-time diagnostics to rectify problems -- such as someone pulling out a cable -- without the expense of dispatching a service truck to the location.

This dashboard also makes it easy for staff in a hotel or hospital for example to manage TV settings, such as parental controls for groups of rooms with children. The CVS product also allows the operator's customers to use their own branding and choose their own custom programming and channel numbering lineup as well as menus, screen colors, fonts, and logos.

As well as demonstrating the latest software features in CVS, at NCTA ADB will highlight its latest range of consumer devices supported by CVS.

"With many MSOs and their customers achieving a demonstrable return on investment from CVS, we are focusing on new management tools that help operators further reduce operating costs, a wider choice of consumer devices and operator customized solutions for different customer segments," said Chris Dinallo, SVP Global Business Development at ADB. "Already our work with Time Warner Cable and other leading cable providers has yielded their customers greater efficiencies, cost savings and an innovative product for revenue generation. We're looking forward to greater expansion in the U.S. market, bringing better TV services to hospitals, hotels and small businesses."
