Casey Sheahan, Former CEO of Patagonia Inc., Keynotes Adconion Direct's 2014 West Coast Summit

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 22, 2014) - Adconion Direct, the global leader in true cross channel advertising across display, video, mobile, email and social on all devices, gathered in San Diego last week for the company's 2014 West Coast Summit. Nearly 200 employees from the West Coast came together for professional development and to volunteer for the Special Olympics San Diego County Region (SOSD) annual Spring School Games, which Adconion Direct sponsored. Adconion Direct's annual summits are designed to promote the company's core values through team building, leadership, strategic development, and an on-going commitment to making a positive difference in communities around the world.

Former President and CEO of Patagonia Inc., Casey Sheahan, was the summit's keynote speaker addressing the importance of corporate responsibility and concept of Conscious Capitalism.

"The companies that are going to prosper for the next 100 years are those that lead with mindfulness, compassion, and soul," said Sheahan, co-founder of the Conscious Global Leadership Institute which shares the best inner practices for inspired leadership. "When companies operate with a higher purpose it creates greater value for all stakeholders. Adconion Direct's incredible success and spirit is an exceptional example of the power of purpose and remaining true to your values."

Adconion Direct's continued commitment to the community was demonstrated on April 17th as the company supported the Special Olympics San Diego County Region (SOSD) annual Spring School Games for the third consecutive year as an official sponsor, cheering on 200 athletes from seven schools, the largest event in SOSD's history.

"Special Olympics Spring School Games is grateful to have Adconion Direct as such a supportive, returning sponsor," said Karen Terra, regional director of SOSD. "The genuine enthusiasm each employee brings to the games empowers and enriches the lives of all the student athletes, their families and teachers."

Adconion Direct has a rich legacy of volunteering and providing resources for several national non-profit organizations from Feeding America, Habitat for Humanity, and The Boys and Girls Club, in addition to many important local charitable groups such as HomeAid San Diego, Greater Chicago Food Depository and Father Joe's Villages.

"We strongly believe businesses have the power to make a positive impact on the world. Our annual summits, which include community service activities, are a testament to all that can be accomplished together," said Adconion Direct CEO, Kim Reed Perell. "Creating a passionate and vibrant culture that puts people first; both employees and the community at large is very important. One of the basic principles of Conscious Capitalism is the difference you are trying to make in the world is the motivation for everything you do. We're committed to bringing joy, fulfillment and meaning to people every day -- which contributes to the overall health and well-being of society, and in turn drives our true cross channel advertising business forward."
