For over thirty years, Toronto Eaton Centre has been the source of many rich Christmas memories for children and their families. From visiting Santa Clause to delighting in the decor-adorned galleria, Christmas shopping at Toronto Eaton Centre marks the official beginning of the holiday season for generations of Canadians. Now, Toronto Eaton Centre and Swarovski are making memories for children who have been diagnosed with high-risk, life-threatening illness. In the spirit of Christmas, Toronto Eaton Centre and The Cadillac Fairview Corporation Limited will match Swarovski's donation of $50,000 to contribute $100,000 to The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada. To celebrate this donation, Toronto Eaton Centre will unveil Canada's only Swarovski Crystal Wish Tree this evening.

"Toronto Eaton Centre holds special holiday memories for many of our customers at Christmas time," said Tony Grossi, Executive Vice-President, Operations, Cadillac Fairview Corporation Limited. "This year, we wanted to help create a similar experience for children who have had much more grown-up things to worry about and hopefully, make their wishes come true and honour the true meaning of Christmas in the process."

The 35-feet high and 20-feet wide Swarovski crystal decorated tree is the only one of its kind in Canada. The three-foot high tree topper will also be adorned with Swarovski crystals and the rotating tree captures the light to reflect the brilliance of more than 10,000 crystals. Due to the overwhelming popularity and demand for last year's limited edition Swarovski Children's Wish ornaments, this year's limited edition crystal ornaments will once again be available for purchase with its own numbered certificate, with all proceeds benefiting The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada.

"Every child with the Children's Wish Foundation should have a future filled with the brightest of possibilities," said Wayne Page, Vice-President, Sales and Marketing, Swarovski Canada. "We hope that the thousands of crystals we've placed on this special tree bring sparkle to the lives of all children this holiday season and beyond."

On Thursday, November 23, the world famous Radio City Rockettes® open an exciting evening of fashion, entertainment and giving, hosted by Erin Davis of 98.1 CHFI. Toronto Eaton Centre then presents a dazzling fashion show with Canada's Next Top Model contestants showcasing the centre's retailers and gift ideas for shoppers. To add sparkle to their fashions, the models will also wear one-of-a-kind in Canada Daniel Swarovski couture line fashion accessories. The couture pieces will be on display at the World of Swarovski display outside the Swarovski store at Toronto Eaton Centre until The Spirit of Christmas Auction on December 20 when these unique and sought-after pieces will be auctioned. All proceeds from the live auction will benefit The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada. Consumers will be treated to the grand finale of the evening with the unveiling and lighting of the Swarovski Crystal Wish Tree following the fashion show.

Beginning November 25th for four consecutive Saturdays, Toronto Eaton Centre will be spreading Christmas cheer by hosting family-friendly holiday events. Swarovski hosts Crystal Wish Mornings, when consumers may hand-pick from the Crystal Wish Tree their own limited edition Swarovski Children's Wish ornaments between 9:30 a.m. and 12 noon, with all proceeds from the sale of these ornaments benefiting The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada. Each Saturday will see the arrival of entertainers and celebrities such as Canadian Idols Tyler Lewis and Chad Doucette, as well as children's writer Mary Shaw, author of the popular children's series Brady Brady, and Brady Brady illustrator Chuck Temple.
