Addictive Mobility Strengthens Relationship With University of Toronto With $25,000 Donation Toward the Masters of Science in Applied Computing Program

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Dec. 15, 2014) - Addictive Mobility, Canada's leading mobile in-app mobile advertising platform, has further strengthened its relationship with the University of Toronto by donating $25,000 to the University's Masters of Science in Applied Computing program in the Department of Computer Science. This donation will fund four individual student bursaries over a five-year period. This financial contribution is a pioneering endeavor initiated by a Canadian start-up in direct support of University-Industry collaboration.

"Earlier this year, we approached the University of Toronto to explore opportunities of collaboration. As a result of these discussions, we were able to attract some incredible talent from their graduate program in Applied Computing. Over the past eight months, these students have played an important role in building our in-app audience targeting and machine learning capabilities," explained Naveed Ahmad CEO of Addictive Mobility.

"The donation made by Addictive Mobility reflects our position that the world of advertising is being disrupted by leveraging of data and science. We see this donation not only as a way to give back to Academia, but a long term investment into harnessing Canadian talent at a grassroots level," concluded Naveed.

"This generous contribution from Addictive Mobility demonstrates the success of our collaborative program. It is a validation that our students do play a key role in the success of Canadian companies. By basing our relationships on applied-research internships with innovative companies like Addictive Mobility, we go beyond the models used by universities such as Stanford and many successful startups in Silicon Valley," said Professor Eugene Fiume, Director of the MScAC program.
