ADDvantage Technologies Subsidiary, Tulsat, Announces Hiring of Director of Business Development

BROKEN ARROW, OK--(Marketwire - September 10, 2007) - ADDvantage Technologies (AMEX: AEY) announced today that its Tulsat subsidiary has hired Ian Thomas as the Company's Director of Business Development.

As Director of Business Development, Thomas will be responsible for the development of new sales strategies to expand the customer base as well as penetrate new customer markets, assisting with vendor relationships and working with all of the ATG Companies to market new Scientific-Atlanta, Motorola and other product lines.

Since 2001, Thomas held the position of Director of Sales at Standard Communications, where he proved his ability to develop sales strategies, secure new business and target new markets worldwide, having successfully targeted and increased sales by over 150 percent in Latin America between 2003 and 2004. Prior to his work at Standard, Ian held key management positions at Comcast Communications, Mega Hertz Sales and Scripps Howard Cable.
