Adimos Reaches $1 Million Revenue Milestone to Capture Leadership Position in Wireless Multimedia Processor Solutions

Company Named as a Finalist in Red Herring Top 100

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 13, 2005 -- Adimos Inc., a leading provider of wireless multimedia processor solutions for consumer electronics, today announced it has reached a major milestone of $1 million in revenue. Further acknowledgement of Adimos' position in this growing market came from Red Herring Magazine, which announced this week it has named The Company as one of the 200 finalists in the Red Herring Top 100 Private Companies of North America award program. More than nine hundred nominations were submitted for consideration.

"This revenue ramp reflects increasing consumer demand for wireless distribution of multimedia content inside the home, as well as a confirmation of the wireline-level of robust video quality that Adimos solutions deliver," said Bill Hoppin, vice president of marketing and sales for Adimos. "Multiple consumer electronics OEMs are now shipping high-quality wireless devices in volume based on Adimos technology delivering Best Picture™ quality."

Adimos launched its first wireless multimedia connectivity solutions less than a year ago, followed by the ADM 100 wireless multimedia processor in January 2005. Consumer electronics OEMs including Toshiba, Onkyo, Konka, Visart, GigaFast and IDX Group, among others, have announced wireless-enabled CE products including digital television (DTV), multimedia adapters and multi-room media extenders based on Adimos technology.

"Using Adimos' technology, IDX has enabled MSOs to extend the reach of the single room set-top box to multiple rooms without the associated cost of rewiring the home, and at the same time enhancing consumer experience and satisfaction," said Lance Katayama, chairman and CEO, IDX Group, Japan. "IDX is a leader in broadcast-quality equipment. Our partnership with Toshiba and Adimos has enabled us to deliver high-quality products that have contributed significantly to our early success in this growing market. Our advanced plug and play wireless multi-room media extenders, based on Adimos technology, offer an example of the innovative products we make available to our preferred customers."

The first generation of wireless digital television products has been plagued by poor picture quality. Consumers have made it clear that they will not forego picture quality for the convenience of wireless multimedia. To solve this problem, Adimos Best Picture™ quality is achieved through a range of adaptive video-optimized processing functions to realize superior video results using standard 802.11 WLAN chipsets.

"Our consumer electronics OEM customers are now shipping products in volume that allow consumers to stream SD and HD video wirelessly throughout the home, with privacy like a wire over the longest range currently possible," said Sandeep Kumar, president and CEO of Adimos, Inc. "These milestones are evidence that we have advanced the technology to the point of mass deployment, that consumers are eager to experience the new digital living room and that the industry recognizes Adimos as the technology enabler of the high-quality consumer experience required to expand the market."
