Admiral Bay Receives Approval for Acquisition of Mound
Valley CBM Project in Kansas

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - March 4, 2005) - Admiral Bay Resources
Inc. (TSX VENTURE:ADB) -

Senior Petroleum Geologist added to Admiral Bay Team

Admiral Bay Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:ADB) announced today that the
TSX Venture Exchange has approved the purchase of the Mound Valley CBM
Project in south east Kansas from ICON Petroleum of Midland, Texas.
Admiral Bay's acquisition of a 10,000 acre block, located in Labette
County, Kansas, provides an additional 125 coal bed methane locations.
The coals are found from 600 to 800 feet in depth. The property is
presently producing 40 MCFGPD from four wells. The wells have been
completed with older type frac techniques and will be re-fraced with
more efficient techniques designed to effectively stimulate coals.
Admiral Bay plans to begin staking six new wells for immediate drilling
in early April. The adjacent area is actively being developed by Quest
Petroleum.

Admiral Bay is also pleased to announce the appointment of Connie Knight
as Vice President of Exploration for Admiral Bay (USA). Ms. Knight is a
graduate of the Colorado School of Mines and has over 27 years
experience in the petroleum industry. Ms. Knight is a proven oil and gas
finder, formerly with Amoco, and a petroleum geologist who will be an
exceptional addition to the Admiral Bay management team. Ms. Knight will
enhance the company's ability to efficiently develop its existing
projects as well as assist in finding new opportunities for Admiral Bay.
