Adobe Ranks Among 'Canada's Top 100 Employers' for Second Consecutive Year

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 21, 2005) -

Maclean's publishes annual list in October 24 edition

Adobe Systems Incorporated (NASDAQ:ADBE) today announced it has been named to the 2006 list of "Canada's Top 100 Employers" compiled by Mediacorp Canada Inc. The complete list is featured in Maclean's October 24 print edition and available at

"We're honoured to be counted again among Canada's top employers," said John Hogerland, site leader for Adobe's Ottawa (Canada) operations. "This is an exciting time to be an Adobe employee. The company is experiencing unprecedented growth, making our ability to attract and retain high-quality talent more important than ever. Industry-leading benefits, an excellent reputation and competitive salaries are among the factors that initially attract top-notch people to Adobe, but it's the company's culture of teamwork, passion and commitment to excellence that makes them stay."

Adobe's largest Canadian site is in Ottawa, with smaller offices located in Toronto and Waterloo. Among the factors that placed Adobe on the Top 100 Employers list are its commitment to employee training and skills development, employee profit-sharing, an onsite fitness centre, an employer-funded social committee, and industry-leading community relations programs. Adobe was also named one of the best companies to work for in America in January 2005, according to FORTUNE magazine's eighth annual "100 Best Companies to Work For" survey.

The list of Canada's Top 100 Employers published annually by Maclean's is based on research conducted by Mediacorp Canada Inc. Mediacorp reviews the recruitment histories and human resources programs of over 55,000 employers across Canada and invites approximately 6,000 fast-growing companies to participate in an extensive application process. In addition to the list published by Maclean's, Mediacorp publishes a comprehensive version of its research findings in book form.
