Adoption.NET Partners With Award Winning Author Carrie Goldman for National Adoption Month

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 15, 2013) - Adoption.NET is excited to announce a partnership with award winning author and adoptive mother, Carrie Goldman, for the month of November, 2013, National Adoption Month.

Carrie Goldman is known best as the author of Bullied: What Every Parent, Teacher, and Kid Needs to Know About Ending the Cycle of Fear (HarperCollins, 2012). Bullied has been honored by the Gold Awards at the 2013 National Parenting Publications Awards and the 2013 Mom's Choice Awards.

Goldman is a regular blogger for Adoption.NET, talking about her experiences as an adoptive mother, as well as The Huffington Post, ChicagoNow, and Psychology Today, and her work on parenting has been featured by NPR, CNN Headline News, MSNBC, Fox, WGN, ABC Radio, and CNN.com.

Adoption.NET and Carrie Goldman join together in November to present a series of online articles called 30 Adoption Portraits in 30 Days, where 30 people whose lives have been touched by adoption share their stories, one for each day of National Adoption Month. In its third year running, the series has been previously hosted on sites like The Huffington Post and ChicagoNow.

From the ChicagoNow website:

"Portrait of an Adoption is running a special series called 30 Adoption Portraits in 30 Days. Designed to give a voice to the many different perspectives of adoption, this series will feature guest posts by adoptees, birth parents, adoptive parents, waiting adoptive parents, and foster parents-turned-adoptive parents."

The series, which will be sponsored by Adoption.NET and hosted by ChicagoNow, will begin November 1st, 2013, and end November 30th, 2013. Weekly 30 Adoption Portraits in 30 Days summaries, written by Carrie Goldman, will be available on Adoption.NET throughout the month, with an annotated recap of the stories provided by the author.
