ADOS Integrates Document Management System With eCopy Open Platform Architecture

Enables Centralized Management of Paper-Based Information and Electronic Documents in One Enterprise Repository Accessible to Any Office Worker

MIAMI, FL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 5, 2005 -- eCopy PAPER CONNECTION FORUM -- ADOS Corporation today announced it has integrated the ADOS Document Management System with eCopy ShareScan OP v3.0. The ADOS Connector for eCopy ShareScan OP is new software that enables organizations to scan paper documents using a range of digital copiers and scanners, including Canon, Fujitsu, HP, Océ, Ricoh, Sharp, and Toshiba. It allows any office worker to easily integrate paper-based information into their ADOS enterprise repositories.

"The business value of document management systems is directly related to the completeness of the enterprise repository and by integrating with eCopy software, any office worker can add paper-based information to ADOS," said Michael Lebeda, President of ADOS. "This means organizations have access to the complete record of business information that drives sound corporate decisions and enhances customer service -- instantly available to everyone on the enterprise network."

ADOS is a fully scalable document management system for processing, indexing, storing, and managing all types of documents, including scanned paper-based information, electronic documents, and computer output (COLD). It provides key information management capabilities such as searching, sorting, grouping, and security of documents that are simple to learn and straightforward to execute. The software manages large volumes of documents stored in both single and multi-site environments.

The Connector, developed by ADOS, enables users to scan, index, and route documents to a specific ADOS repository from a digital copier or scanner, improving collaboration across offices by making information available that was previously isolated in paper-based file cabinets. Network administrators can configure the Connector to require users to enter a user name and password at the copier to protect against unauthorized users and provide a comprehensive audit trail of scanning activities. Documents can be scanned as searchable PDFs so they can be located quickly using ADOS full text search capabilities.

According to Noel O'Dwyer, eCopy director of strategic alliances, "This new Connector further improves the return on investment of ADOS applications by helping organizations take full advantage of all their digital copier and scanner resources with one standard document capture application. It also strengthens eCopy's presence in the European market by closely linking our Company with one of Europe's most innovative and comprehensive document management systems."

The eCopy ShareScan OP v3.0 software developer kit makes Connector development fast and efficient. It dramatically reduces the amount of programming resources needed through advanced software productivity tools such as a graphical user interface (GUI) generator, digital copier and PC client templates, and .NET wizards.

eCopy's Open Platform Architecture provides a fundamental change in how document scanning capabilities are delivered to independent software vendors' applications. It enables eCopy ShareScan OP v3.0 to provide a corporate standard for document scanning across heterogeneous digital copier and scanner platforms and diverse software applications to maximize enterprise investments.
