ADP Named to DiversityInc's 2008 Top 25 Noteworthy Companies List

Series of Diversity Initiatives Earns ADP a Spot on Honorable List

ROSELAND, NJ--(Marketwire - June 16, 2008) - Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (NYSE: ADP), a leading provider of business outsourcing solutions, today announced it has been named one of the "Top 25 Noteworthy Companies" for 2008 by DiversityInc magazine. Published annually, the list gives special recognition to employers that have outstanding diversity management programs.

"We know the markets we serve are growing increasingly diverse and we are proud of how diversity management has become part of our day-to-day business practices," said Clyde Jones, ADP Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer. "To consistently take our business growth to the next level and beyond, we must do the same regarding our commitment to diversity. This recognition from DiversityInc is an important acknowledgement that we have continued to move in the right direction."

Recognition was given to companies that excel in four key areas of emphasis: CEO Commitment, Human Capital, Corporate Communications, and Supplier Diversity. ADP met these criteria with its wide-ranging commitment to diversity programs and activities. Among the key diversity programs at ADP:

-- Diversity Task Forces for Business, Recruitment, and Retention:
    Through these task forces, ADP actively addresses initiatives focused on
    multicultural marketing, attracting the best talent, and retaining
    outstanding associates;
-- Third-party endorsement from multicultural organizations: ADP values
    its strong relationships with multicultural organizations that have
    endorsed the company as the preferred supplier or employer, such as the
    Association of Latinos in Finance & Accounting and the National Sales
-- Regional Diversity Councils: ADP recently launched seven regional
    diversity councils to help ensure diversity remains a top priority at each
    company location;
-- Increases in women and minority new hires: Women now represent more
    than 55 percent of ADP's population, and minorities account for more than
    30 percent.

"At ADP, in order to serve our clients best, we know that we need to attract, engage and retain the best associates in our industry," said Mike Martone, ADP COO and Chairman of the company's Executive Diversity Council. "We believe in the 'Service Profit Chain' model whereby happy, engaged associates provide higher levels of client service, our clients stay with ADP longer and refer others to use ADP's services. Our diversity initiatives greatly help us to achieve these goals and we are honored to be recognized by DiversityInc."

The 25 Noteworthy Companies were selected based on criteria developed by the editors of DiversityInc. After comprehensive review of extensive empirical data provided by the companies that applied for recognition, the editors narrowed down the list from 352 applicants.
