ADP Shows American Workers How to Get More From Their Paycheck

In Honor of National Payroll Week (Sept. 3-7), Leading Payroll Provider and the American Payroll Association Leverage Internet and Radio to Help Americans Maximize Earnings

ROSELAND, NJ--(Marketwire - September 4, 2007) - ADP® Employer Services, a leading provider of payroll, human resources and benefits administration services, today announced its annual National Payroll Week campaign to help educate workers on how to maximize their paychecks. This year's campaign once again encourages America's workforce, particularly younger workers, to carefully evaluate the broad range of payroll deductions and pre-tax saving options offered by most employers. Taking advantage of such options can help individuals make the most of their paychecks and achieve their financial fitness goals.

Designed to help American workers become financially fit, the campaign was created in partnership with the American Payroll Association (APA) and leverages an online webisode and two new radio announcements to broaden our reach to all employees.

"There are several voluntary deductions employees can choose to make the most of their hard-earned money," said Mike Martone, Chief Operating Officer, ADP. "Most employers offer a variety of pre-tax programs that can lead to major savings. By paying for some essentials before taxes are taken out, workers of all ages can dramatically reduce out-of-pocket spending and take full advantage of their earnings."

Education is the key to helping workers of all ages understand the value of voluntary deductions and pre-tax programs. The National Payroll Week campaign includes messages about programs workers can take advantage of, such as TRIP (Transportation Reimbursement Incentive Program), Flexible Spending Accounts, and 401(k) plans.

"About 65 percent of American employees are still living paycheck to paycheck. By taking control of their paychecks, the nation's workforce can maximize their earnings," said Dan Maddux, Executive Director, American Payroll Association. "Direct deposit is a great way to maximize savings. By enabling workers to automatically fund separate accounts for current expenses, long-term savings, and even vacation planning, direct deposit can help Americans budget and save for the future."
