Adriana Appoints Exploration Manager

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 12, 2006) - Adriana Resources Inc. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:ADI) is pleased to announce the addition of Anthony Kovacs to Adriana's technical team. As Exploration Manager, Mr. Kovacs will be working closely with Adriana's senior executives to advance the company's MIE project in Nunavut as well as the company's Lac Otelnuk Iron project in Quebec.

Mr. Kovacs has over 10 years of experience applying geophysics to mineral exploration challenges. His BASc thesis in Applied Geophysics at the University of British Columbia, completed in 1997, demonstrated the Muskox intrusion could be mapped to great depths in three dimensions through the use of geophysical inversion techniques. Subsequently, Mr. Kovacs has worked on the Muskox intrusion for eight years, perfecting geophysical surveys for a variety of mineral deposit models unique to this large igneous province.

During the last three years Mr. Kovacs worked under contract with Anglo American as Project Geophysicist on Nickel projects in Quebec, Manitoba, Alaska and Nunavut and Iron Oxide Copper Gold (IOCG) projects in Canada and Mexico.

Management welcomes Mr. Kovacs and looks forward to his contributions to the technical advancement of the company's present and future projects.
