Advance Battery Technologies Announces New Application of PLI Battery for Underwater Vessels

HARBIN, CHINA--(Marketwire - June 13, 2007) - Advanced Battery Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB: ABAT), a developer and manufacturer of rechargeable Polymer-Lithium-Ion (PLI) batteries, announced today that Professor Yang Sensen, a ranking member of Division 702 (Research and Development) of the Department of Oceanology of Peoples Republic of China ("PRC"), indicated that after extensive testing and evaluation, ABAT's 110Ah, 48V PLI battery is the only battery manufactured in PRC that completely meets all requirements for use in underwater robotic and related vessel applications.

It is the mission of the Department of Oceanology to foster and support both public and private exploration initiatives of the Oceans and waterway in and around the PRC.
