Advanced Battery Technologies, Inc. Adds New Production Line

HARBIN, CHINA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 2, 2007 -- Advanced Battery Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB: ABAT), a developer and manufacturer of rechargeable Polymer-Lithium-Ion (PLI) batteries, announced today that it has begun the installation of a new production line specialized in the manufacturing of a portable re-charger powered by the Company's compact PLI batteries. The new re-charger is very light and compact, measuring approximately 1.5" X 3" X 0.3". The re-charger may be energized from a variety of power sources, including: solar, USB port and regular AC or DC sources. The re-charger is intended for use with personal electronic devices such as: mobile phones; digital cameras; Mp3s; MP4 notebook computers and other electronic products. The re-charger may also be used as a backup power source to power these applications.

This production line is expected to start production by early June of this year.
