Advanced Battery Technology Inc. Added to NASDAQ Clean Edge U.S. Indexes

The Effective Date Is Set to Be on March 24th

NEW YORK, NY and HARBIN, CHINA--(Marketwire - March 17, 2008) - Advanced Battery Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: ABAT) today announced it will be added to the NASDAQ Clean Edge U.S. Index , effective with the market open on March 24, 2008. Advanced Battery Technologies, Inc. is a developer, manufacturer, and distributer of rechargeable polymer lithium-ion (PLI) battery cells for use in electric vehicles, mining equipment and a variety of many other consumer electronics.
