Advanced Growing Systems, Inc. Participates in Atlanta's "Water Smart Landscape" Workshop

ALPHARETTA, GA--(Marketwire - April 17, 2008) - Advanced Growing Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: AGWS) announces its participation in Atlanta's "Water Smart Landscape" workshop. Among the presenters was John Strickland, COO of Organic Growing Systems, Inc., the manufacturer of TOP Organic Fertilizer. Mr. Strickland's presentation was titled "Organic Fertilizers and Reduced Water Use." Mr. Strickland stated, "I wanted to provide an enlightened comparison between organic and synthetic fertilizers and demonstrate the dramatic water savings by using organic. We cannot continue to do business as usual as growing populations increasingly put a strain on America's water resources."

Mr. Strickland's presentation was a study on fertilizer "101," and showed the marked differences between how organic and synthetic fertilizers work to achieve the same aesthetic results, a lush green, beautiful landscape. "It's the nature of how these products achieve their end result that accounts for the tremendous water savings from organics," remarked Strickland.

The City of Atlanta and 61 counties in Northeast Georgia experienced an unprecedented drought through most of 2007 and have just recently seen an easing of a Level Four Drought watering ban. Melinda Langston, Director of Watershed Management for the City of Atlanta, commented, "Native Atlantans who have been used to 50" to 55" of rain per year could not be expected to know how to maintain a beautiful landscape in this drought. We felt a responsibility to provide our citizens with the knowledge and the tools to conserve water."

The "Water Smart Landscape" workshop, which was attended by the top outdoor water users within the city, was held on March 28th. The theme titled "Maintain your Terrain without any Rain" called for the creativity and expertise of Georgia's leading landscape professionals. Langston added, "The workshop was a huge success confirming our belief that we can achieve greater results for Atlanta's water users with a carrot rather than a stick approach."
