Advanced ID Awarded Contract by Major Mexican Truck Fleet Service Provider to Test RFID Tags in Bus Tires and Interest in Europe Heats Up

A State-of-the-Art Method to Prevent Escalating Truck Tire Theft Could Lead to the Growth of a Multi-Million Dollar RFID Segment by the 3rd Quarter of 2007

CALGARY, AB -- (MARKET WIRE) -- December 19, 2006 -- Advanced ID Corporation (OTCBB: AIDO) has received confirmation that a major truck fleet service provider in Mexico will test their RFID Tag on heavy-duty bus tires for a national transportation company. The trial will take place within the next 30 days with positive results expected.

The escalating price of tires has grown into an asset management problem for fleets around the world. Tires can be sold easily on the grey market and it is difficult to monitor and control tires on the fleets. New ways must be developed to ensure that tires, as a significant cost item, can be secured and inventoried frequently. The Advanced ID line of tire tag products will help truck and bus companies track and control the location, identity and condition of their tires.

Samuel Lara of Actia Mexico states, "For truck fleet services, theft prevention is a serious issue among their customers and Advanced ID's RFID tag appears to be an excellent solution. I expect the rest of our truck fleet services clients will want RFID tags for their truck tires too."

Dan Finch, President and CEO of Advanced ID, commented, "This is just another example of how Advanced ID RFID tags can serve the tire maintenance community and the transportation industry as a whole. Some companies are using our RFID tags to track inventory, others for recording maintenance data and now to stop theft. The applications are endless."

Additionally, a major tire manufacturer in Europe has purchased trial quantities of Advanced ID's EPC Gen2 tire tag to determine how best to deploy this product in their 2007 embedded tire tag program.

With increased customer interest in both the global tire manufacturer segment and the fleet owner market, Advanced ID has put the appropriate resources in place to meet the expected tire tag demand in 2007 and beyond. The company will provide updates throughout 2007 in press releases, emails, advertising and special pages on the new Advanced ID website.

According to Dan Finch, "It is important that we get the Advanced ID story out next year. We have spent 2006 creating the infrastructure to handle the worldwide increase in demand for tire tags and now, in 2007, we are prepared to be the market leaders in the business."
