Advanced ID Corporation Provides Corporate Update

CALGARY, AB--(Marketwire - September 14, 2010) -  Advanced ID Corporation (PINKSHEETS: AIDO), a leading developer of RFID solutions for supply chain, conveyor belt and tire management applications is pleased to provide a corporate update on the company. The company has streamlined its operations to reduce overhead and to achieve profitability. The previous year has been a difficult one but the company is now focused on high margin, profitable markets and is very excited about its future. The company has several key initiatives to increase revenue and establish new markets for its product line.

The tire tag business continues to be the core business for the company. Advanced ID is a pioneer in developing a commercially viable RFID tire management product line. AIDO provided the first RFID tire tags for Goodyear's NASCAR program in 2006 and now, in 2010, Advanced ID continues to be a leader in this business. The company is working with several tire manufacturers in North and South America for its RFID tire badges and UHF RFID readers. The company will be making several announcements over the coming weeks on this market.

The company continues to build its conveyor belt tag business. Working with Advanced ID's South American operation, AIDO has partnered with Mercurio Correias in Brazil to create a conveyor RFID rip protection system that uses the AIDO RFID belt tag molded in a special rubber badge that is then embedded in steel belted rubber conveyor belts that can be miles long in mining and construction environments. The largest conveyor belt manufacturers on the globe are setting up trials now, from the United States, to Australia, India and Poland. We expect to get a significant share of this business.

Advanced ID has been working with providers of RFID cattle ear tags to design a new UHF RFID livestock tag that meets the new size mandated by the governments of Brazil, Columbia and Mexico. The cattle tag is being tested and will be ready for commercial deployment in the fourth quarter of 2010. This market has been slow to evolve but with several governments now mandating standards we expect large initial orders to emerge by year end.

Advanced ID has been working in harsh environment UHF RFID asset management activities since 2005. Achieving adequate read range has always been an issue. With the advent of nano-based ultra capacitors, battery assisted passive UHF RFID tags are now possible at a fraction of the cost of active RFID tags. Advanced ID has initiated a project to develop a UHF RFID tag that is power assisted using an ultra capacitor, which can be proximity charged as required. Read ranges exceeding fifty feet are anticipated. Advanced ID is also working to develop a drive-over RFID tire tag reader that is critical to the commercial success of truck and bus tire management systems. AIDO will make further announcements on these initiatives in the coming months.

Dan Finch, Advanced ID's President, commented "Advanced ID has gone through a very difficult year but we have emerged much leaner and are now focused on our products and markets that provide profitable margins and massive growth. We are engaged in several markets that are gaining increased traction, especially with the contribution of Eduardo Kuhner, our South America distributor."

Advanced ID Corporation ( provides global RFID solutions.
