Advanced ID Provides Corporate Update

CALGARY, AB--(Marketwire - March 19, 2010) - Advanced ID Corporation (OTCBB: AIDO) a leading developer of RFID solutions for supply chain applications, fleet operations, animal tracking and tire management, announces a series of shareholder related initiatives.

Dan Finch, Advanced ID's President, said "The Company has developed a plan to move forward in a new direction and the protection of shareholder interests is a major focus of the plan."

The combination of a slowly improving global economy, the increasing strength of our RFID business in Latin America and a potential working relationship with a strong partner in the emerging smart energy business bodes well for Advanced ID in 2010. We are convinced that the direction we have chosen is sound and is in the best interests of our shareholders. We will continue to exploit the RFID business and are developing solid capabilities in the smart energy markets. We will fully describe to our shareholders the company's vision of 2010 and beyond in our communications related to the Annual General Meeting.

The company is pursuing at this time a joint venture relationship with a company in the smart energy business and expanding its successful RFID business in Latin America and beyond. A quick conclusion to the joint venture initiative is expected and will be reported on separately.

These opportunities for Advanced ID to grow are dependent on the company's ability to attract new funding to support the marketing and sales of an expanded joint venture product line. New shareholders must be attracted to the company and existing shareholders must be involved in the process to implement the 2010 business plan.

The costs of auditing the company's financials to provide the SEC with fully audited quarterly filings has become an unsustainable cost and, as one way to redirect scarce cash resources to critical revenue opportunities, the Board of Directors has concluded that it is in the best interests of the company and shareholders to discontinue the quarterly filings at this time. Returning to a fully reporting structure will be addressed as the proposed new joint venture becomes a reality in the next year.

Accordingly, the company is announcing its 2010 Annual General Meeting which will be held in Calgary on May 15, 2010. Major agenda items will include the discussion relating to suspending the company's fully reporting status, voting on an increase in the number of authorized shares, authorizing the directors to enact a rollback to better manage future partnership relationships and providing approval for the establishment of joint venture activities in the future. A revised board of director's slate will be included and other matters that arise will be included in the upcoming proxy.
