Advanced ID's Sheep Tag Delivers Strong Performance in Australia

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - May 25, 2005) - Advanced ID Corporation (OTCBB:AIDO), a complete solutions provider in the radio frequency identification (RFID) and traceability market for the animal industry, delivered results from its field trials in Australia which have exhibited a clear advantage over other identification technology.

Advanced ID's DataTRAC™ 4000 Series tags and readers, specifically designed for the sheep industry, were deployed in a series of field tests beginning in late 2004 with one of the largest sheep processors in the country.

With up to several thousand sheep processed daily, the unique ability of Advanced ID's technology to read multiple tags, at significantly longer read ranges, and in environments which render some other forms of RFID technology virtually inoperable, has resulted in processing efficiencies not achieved with any other technology.

The Australian sheep industry has indicated their intent to adopt an identification and trace back management system to ensure the industry is protected from biosecurity issues, delivers substantial improvements in animal husbandry, and maximizes the genetic pool of the national flock.

Barry Bennett, President and CEO of Advanced ID Corporation, stated, "Our goal was to develop a technology that not only provides a cost effective identification and trace back solution, but does so within the existing industry infrastructure. Our technology does not require additional capital costs to deploy our products, and ensures there is no disruption to current industry processes. We believe this is a key determinant for the large-scale adoption of any technology."

David Kay, Trace Australia's Managing Director and Advanced ID Corporation's Australian channel partner, commented, "One of the key benefits of our livestock identification technology is that we have designed a prototype system of hardware and software that operates reliably and efficiently through the entire livestock production cycle."

Bennett further stated, "We have successfully demonstrated our technology in livestock applications around the world, delivering unparalleled benefits to each vertical market in the livestock industry."
