Advanced Recovery Systems Celebrates Alcohol Awareness Month With the Launch of Online Tools for Assessment and Recovery

Growing Behavioral Health Management System Continues Making Great Efforts to Prevent and Treat Alcohol Abuse and Reduce Stigma

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL--(Marketwired - April 28, 2016) - Integrated multi-state behavioral healthcare management company Advanced Recovery Systems (ARS), which operates from corporate offices in Fort Lauderdale, continues to enhance its online tools aimed at education, prevention and treatment of alcohol addiction.

Each April since 1987, the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (NCADD) sponsors NCADD Alcohol Awareness Month to increase public awareness and understanding, reduce stigma and encourage local communities to focus on alcoholism and alcohol-related issues (NCADD, 2015).

To celebrate Alcohol Awareness Month, the team at Advanced Recovery Systems has launched several online tools in an effort to assess potential alcohol abuse and provide much needed education and support to those suffering from alcohol abuse issues. The first of these tools, the CAGE online alcohol assessment quiz, offers a simple methodology for determining if a person or their loved one has the need for follow up treatment or assessment for alcohol abuse issues. Additionally, two other more extensive and lengthy alcohol assessment quizzes were launched on along with additional education resources to provide support and dispel stigma associated with alcohol abuse.

"The ARS leadership team fully recognizes the need for additional alcohol awareness and educational programs throughout the U.S.," Dr. Eisenberg said. "Participating in Alcohol Awareness Month, and helping spread the word about the treatment and prevention options is our mission here at Advanced Recovery Systems."
