AdventNet's MSP Center Named a CRN Emerging Tech Vendor

AdventNet Was Chosen by CRN as an Emerging Technology Vendor Because of the Value It Adds to Managed Service Providers; At Less Than $25 per Device per Year the AdventNet MSP Center Software Offers a Feature-Rich Platform for MSPs to Roll Out a Number of Managed Services

PLEASANTON, CA--(Marketwire - June 30, 2008) - AdventNet Inc., the leading provider of affordable Remote Management and IT security software, today announced it has been selected by Everything Channel as a CRN Emerging Tech vendor for its MSP Center platform. CRN's Emerging Tech list captures companies that are delivering high margins for solution providers with innovative and easy-to-use technology that undercuts industry giants.

MSP Center simplifies desktop management across multiple customers using intelligent agent-server architecture. With more than 241 security policies and 50 Windows configuration templates that can be applied to these agents MSP Center makes desktop management as easy as 1, 2, and 3. It helps MSPs to automate all PC routines such as patch management, asset management, software license management, disc defragment, temp files cleanup, and disc check. The templates help to standardize key settings such as power management, firewall, display, and Internet Explorer. The security policies empower MSPs to control the desktops and perform operations such as disable USB drives, disable network connections panel, disable add-or-remove programs panel, disable CD ROM access, etc. Apart from desktop management, the MSP Center software offers remote monitoring, helpdesk, remote control, and professional services automation (PSA) all rolled into one for $25 per device per year.

AdventNet has been designing and developing software for the MSP market since 2005. All these years AdventNet has continuously improved its MSP software, with key MSP specific features, while keeping the costs low. This commitment towards profitability of MSPs earned itself this award.

According to the CRN Emerging Tech Survey, the top reasons solution providers add emerging technologies include: the technology is superior to other products in the market segment; the technology compliments a solution providers' existing practice areas; emerging vendors provide better services opportunities; emerging vendors pay better attention to partners; emerging vendors offer higher margins; customers want alternative product choices; and emerging vendors have better joint marketing programs. In addition, 61 percent of solutions providers surveyed plan to increase the number of emerging technology vendors they partner with in the next 12 months.

"New and innovative vendor partners can help spur profitable new ideas that Solution Providers can use to build revenue and customer loyalty, and the CRN Emerging Tech list is where Solution Providers go to find these vendors," said Robert C. Demarzo, senior vice president and editorial director, Everything Channel editorial.

Vendors who make the CRN Emerging Tech list must have an established solution provider program and formal guidelines for recruiting channel partners. They must demonstrate that its direct sales mix is trending down as evidenced by the company's revenue history, a channel positive or channel neutral strategy for internal sales compensation, and not be a dominant market share player. Final selection to the Emerging Technology list was made at the discretion of the CRN editorial team after a review of the submitted information and conversations with current or targeted partners.

"We are happy to have been named as an Emerging Technology Vendor by CRN," says Dev Anand, Product Manager MSP solutions at AdventNet, Inc. "We believe that the current economic conditions and rising operating costs will force lot of small and medium enterprises to switch to managed services sooner or later. But for an MSP to take advantage of this opportunity one needs to choose an MSP platform that's both feature-rich as well as low-cost to procure and operate. MSP Center plus is one such software. For a flat $25 fee per device it offers Remote Management+ Remote Monitoring + Remote Control + HelpDesk + PSA."
