Adventure Gold Plans 3,000 Meter Drill Program in the Val D'or Region of Quebec

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Feb. 27, 2008) - Adventure Gold Inc. (TSX VENTURE:AGE) (the "Company"), an emerging junior mining exploration company with strategic properties in the prolific Abitibi greenstone belt, is pleased to announce a 3,000 meter drill program on its Beaufor West, Beaufor North and Lapaska properties in the Val d'Or region of Quebec. Drilling is anticipated to commence in March 2008. A second drill program of 5,000 meters is also planned in this area for the fall of 2008.

In December 2007, the Company hired a mining and exploration consulting firm, Innovexplo, of Val d'Or Quebec, to complete an exhaustive compilation of all historical exploration work on the Beaufor West, Beaufor North and Lapaska projects. This compilation will assist in the identification of new drill targets as well as new sectors with considerable exploration potential. The compilation is ongoing with recommendations due in March 2008; to date, many high quality drill targets have already been identified. Concurrently, the Company's technical team recently completed the digitalization of more than 50,000 meters of historical drilling on the Dubuisson property to generate a mineral inventory in compliance with NI43-101.

In 2008, the Company intends to invest C$1.6 million on its exploration projects in Quebec with half slated for drilling. Results will be communicated on an ongoing basis.

Beaufor West and North

The Beaufor West and North property are located 35 km northeast of Val d'Or in the Senneville and Pascalis Townships, Quebec, and adjacent to the Beaufor Mine (total production for Beaufor, Perron and Pascalis Mines is more than 900,000 ounces Au between 7.0 g/t Au to 8.5 g/t Au : Richmont Mines, 2006).

To date, data compilation has identified four sectors with strong exploration potential. On the Beaufor West property, the south-western and in-depth extensions of the Beaufor Mine as well as the drilling intersections returning 9.4 g/t Au over 1 meter (hole N-12) and 4.8 g/t Au over 1.4 meters (hole N-15) are priority targets. On the Beaufor North property, the western border is located approximately 500 meters of the Resenor gold deposit (181,000 tons at 8.6 g/t Au: MRNF-Sigeom). Due to the lack of exploration in this sector, additional drilling is required.

The Lapaska property is located in the Louvicourt Township 15 km east of Val d'Or and includes 26 claims. It covers an area of 333 hectares between the past producing gold deposits Sigma II to the east (150,000 oz at 2.5 g/t Au: Placer Dome, 1997) and Simkar to the west (+/- 50,000 oz between 4.5 g/t Au and 8.6 g/t Au: MRNF-Sigeom).

On Lapaska, compilation work has led to the identification of two sectors showing an important exploration potential. In the Central Zone, the in-depth and lateral extensions follow-up of high grade mineralisation returning 9.4 g/t Au over 4.7 meters, intersected by diamond drill hole 245-43, at a depth of 300 meters, represents very high quality exploration target. In the West Zone, the in-depth extensions of diamond drill hole 245-54, returning 6.2 g/t Au over 2.5 meters, remain another sector with strong potential.

The Dubuisson property is located in the Dubuisson Township, approximately 7 km west of Val d'Or. It consists of 39 contiguous claims covering an area of 870 hectares adjacent to the Goldex Mine (reserve estimates of 1.6 million oz Au at 2.4 g/t Au: Agnico-Eagle, 2005).

Since 1940, several companies have completed exploration programs and development work on this property. Historical gold resources have been identified on the Dubuisson property. The Company intends to make these historical resources compliant with National Instrument 43-101 in 2008. The Company's technical team recently completed the digitalization of all historical surface and underground drilling on this property. The second stage will consist of the validation of the data by carrying out land surveying of some diamond drill-hole collars, visual verification and the re-sampling of the available gold-bearing zones previously intersected by drilling. Further drilling may be required. Finally, the 3D data modeling will enable the calculation of a new resource estimate. Results are expected during the third quarter 2008.
