Advise Technologies Recognized as Best Buy-Side Newcomer and Best Buy-Side Product at Buy-Side Technology Awards 2012

Consensus RMS Suite of Reporting Solutions Enables Private Funds to Automate Filing Process for New Regulations

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Nov 5, 2012) - Advise Technologies, LLC, a software solutions provider for global regulatory compliance, today announced it was named "Best Buy-Side Newcomer" at the Buy-Side Technology Awards. Consensus RMS, the firm's suite of regulatory reporting solutions, was also named "Best Buy-Side Product" at this year's awards. Now in its sixth year, the Buy-Side Technology Awards recognize the leading technologies and vendors through an auditable and transparent methodology and judging process.

"Advise was founded to help private funds automate and simplify the reporting process for the surge of new regulations across the industry," said Doug Schwenk, founder and CEO of Advise. "We successfully assisted more than half of the hedge funds who had to file Form PF in August, and look forward to continuing to work with them and additional filers as they streamline and automate the Form PF filing process. In addition, we are helping them with new reporting requirements such as CPO-PQR / CTA-PR, FATCA and AIFMD as those come into effect. We sincerely thank Buy-Side Technology for this honor and recognition of our achievements."

Consensus RMS helps firms automate reporting processes, aggregate and normalize data so they can achieve compliance with minimal interruption to daily operations. The software offers an intuitive, user-friendly design that simplifies filing and enables advisers to create a playbook, eliminating the need to reinvent the wheel with each new filing. Additionally, Advise's proprietary calculation engine offers a unique level of control and intelligence to drive fast, repeatable processes.

Hedge fund advisers with over $5 billion in Regulatory Assets Under Management ("RAUM"), the same group required to make the inaugural filing of Form PF by August 29, 2012, will have to complete their next filing by November 29, 2012. The next group, advisers with over $1.5 billion RAUM must file Form PF within 60 days of the end of each quarter, starting with the quarter ending December 31, 2012. Advisers with between $150 million and $1.5 billion RAUM will file Form PF annually, within 120 days of fiscal year-end, beginning with the fiscal year ending December 31, 2012.

The first filing deadline for Form CPO-PQR is November 29, 2012, when CFTC-registered CPOs with greater than $5 billion in assets under management (AUM) need to file for the quarter ending September 30, 2012. The remaining registered CPOs will need to file the form starting in March 2013. The first filing deadline for CTAs to file the annually required Form CTA-PR is February 14, 2013, for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2012.
