ADVISORY: MADD Canada unveiling ceremonies today at 11 am

National Office Unveilings Mark Significant Day for MADD Canada -- Ontario Minister of Transportation joins organization for unveiling and there is a special ceremony to rededicate the Memorial Wall Attention: News Editor, Government/Political Affairs Editor, Transportation Editor OAKVILLE, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 4, 2005) - Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD Canada) will be hosting two back-to-back ceremonies on Tuesday of this week that will mark the organization's national headquarters' move to Oakville, Ontario.

First, National President Karen Dunham will join Ontario Transportation Minister Harinder Takhar in the parking lot of its new offices to speak about the fight against impaired driving in Ontario.

Then, immediately following in MADD Canada's Boardroom, the current President will be joined by the organization's five past National Presidents and Founder in the rededication of their memorial wall. This moving monument, that adorns the National Office walls, pays tribute to all victims who have been killed or seriously injured by impaired driving. The rededication ceremony and unveiling will also mark the official opening of new office space for the National Office.

Media is welcomed to the ceremonies and unveilings - and photo sessions - at the new National Office.

(Directions: Travel QEW to Winston Churchill Blvd / Turn North on Winston Churchill Blvd; Turn left at Upper Middle Road;
turn right at 2010 Winston Park Drive. The unveilings will take place in the parking lot and in the office boardroom)

*** MEDIA NOTE: Numerous national and local spokespersons from MADD Canada will be present and available for media interviews. Ontario's Transportation Minister will be available for questions and answers. Other local community leaders in the fight against impaired driving will be in attendance for both ceremonies.
