Advisory/Photo Op: Premiers on Whale of a Campaign

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 24, 2011) -

Attention: News Editors, Photo Editors, Assignment Desks and Producers

New Brunswick Premier David Alward and Nova Scotia Premier Darrell Dexter are in Toronto today, February 24, to urge all Canadians to vote the Bay of Fundy, the only Canadian site remaining in the global New7Wonders of Nature campaign.

The premiers will kick off the final leg of the VoteMyFundy campaign with a "Ride the Tide" event at 4pm, in the St. Lawrence Market Kitchen, 2nd floor, West Mezzanine level, 93 Front Street East.

When the campaign began in 2007, it featured more than 440 entries from over 200 countries. That number has been reduced to 28 finalists, from which the final seven will be selected in November 2011.

St. Lawrence Market, a traditional Toronto meeting place for over 200 years, is a favourite source for Bay of Fundy, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia food products.

The premiers will be available for interviews at the event and they will do a walk through the market to meet vendors who sell Bay of Fundy product.
