Advocate Marketing Leader Crowdly Hires Curt Bloom as Chief Revenue Officer

Experienced SaaS Marketing and Sales Executive to Scale Strong Company Momentum

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - Sep 15, 2014) - Crowdly, the marketing technology company that connects brands with the advocates that love them most, today announced the addition of enterprise SaaS veteran Curt Bloom to its leadership team in the role of Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). In this newly created position, Bloom will lead the strategic direction and execution of Crowdly's growth plan.

Bloom is charged with overseeing Crowdly's sales and helping the company build on their significant recent momentum as Crowdly scales to meet untapped advocate marketing demand from brands and digital agencies. Crowdly experienced 400 percent customer growth over the past year, adding SodaStream and William Grant & Sons brands Balvenie, Glenfiddich, Hendrick's Gin and Sailor Jerry. With this growth, Crowdly has solidified its position as the leading advocate marketing platform helping big brands identify, segment, rank and make real connections with their true advocates to increase word-of-mouth and brand advocacy.

"There's a groundswell happening where brands are taking their most effective marketing method, word-of-mouth, increasingly into digital. To be successful, brands are using our platform to easily identify and connect with the authentic, existing advocates who love their brand to power those valuable initiatives," said Dan Sullivan, Crowdly's founder and CEO. "Adding Curt's strategic acumen, deep experience, and proven record of scaling organizations like ours gives us great strength to capture the opportunity before us. The Crowdly team is very excited to have him on board."

Bloom is a sales and marketing veteran with over 30 years of leadership experience in enterprise sales, marketing, channel and partner development, and business strategy. Bloom comes to Crowdly from Crimson Hexagon, where he recently served as president and executive VP of sales and marketing. At Crimson Hexagon, he developed a team that quadrupled revenue over a three-year period. As the interim CEO, Bloom previously led the sale of smartFOCUS, a global vendor of marketing automation software applications, for which he also helped grow its international sales presence from $4.5 million to $22.5 million. Before smartFOCUS, Bloom held executive sales leadership roles at Unica (now owned by IBM), Mega International, Kronos Systems, and Bachman Information Systems.

"With the exponential increase in reach of consumer voices being one of the most powerful drivers of purchase and loyalty, brands are scrambling to build advocate relationships that will keep them top-of-mind for their most loyal fans and customers," noted Bloom. "Crowdly is the only platform that helps brands really find and connect with these advocates, and not just rely on paid influencers to help extend their reach and word-of-mouth. I'm extremely excited to join Crowdly at this critical point in their trajectory and look forward to contributing to this transformational time in the way brands market to and connect with their customers."

Bloom is an advisor for BlueVenn helping the U.K-based company establish a presence in the U.S., and has been an advisor for Massachusetts-based Manager Mechanics since its inception in 2009. He earned a master's degree in business administration from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a bachelor's degree in Russian and French from Boston University.
