At this year's event, a record 1,700 attendees from Quebec and around the world is expected.

"The increase in attendance at Quebec Exploration underscores both the growth in Quebec's mining industry and importance of the event. Mineral exploration and development spending reached $295 million in 2006," declared Geologie Quebec executive director Robert Marquis, on behalf of the Minister of Natural Resources and Wildlife, Claude Bechard.

Quebec Exploration is the perfect opportunity to take part in the intense activity in the sector, exchange information about the mining potential in Quebec and other Canadian provinces, and take advantage of the best business opportunities with exploration companies. In addition, this major event highlights the sector's strategic economic importance in several resource regions in Quebec," adds AEMQ president Marco Gagnon.
