AeroGrow Reaches Major Sales Milestone... 100,000 AeroGardens Sold in First Year

270,000 Plug & Grow™ Seed Kits Sold in Same Time Period

BOULDER, CO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 22, 2007 -- AeroGrow International, Inc. (OTCBB: AGWI) ("AeroGrow" or the "Company"), makers of the AeroGarden™ kitchen garden appliance, announced today that the AeroGarden has just passed the 100,000 unit sales milestone. The Company began selling the AeroGarden in March 2006.

"It's been quite a launch. We expected a high level of consumer acceptance, but going from zero to 100,000 gardens sold in less than a year has been a powerful market confirmation of the AeroGarden's appeal," said Michael Bissonnette, Founder and CEO of AeroGrow. "The AeroGarden appeals to a wide range of demographics and interests, both men and women, young and old, cooks and gardeners and it's a hot gift item as well. In addition, sales of the Company's Plug & Grow Seed Kits recently surpassed 270,000 units since the launch in March 2006. AeroGrow's Seed Kit line, soon to be expanded to more than 18 different plant kits, allows consumers to simply and easily grow a wide variety of herbs, vegetables, flowers and fruit in their AeroGardens.

To date the AeroGarden is being marketed through four channels of distribution including:

--  National retail distribution through housewares, culinary, lawn &
