Aeroports de Montreal Hails the Agreement Between the Government of Quebec and Caisse de depot et placement

MONTRÉAL, QUÉBEC--(Marketwired - Jan. 13, 2015) - Aéroports de Montréal (ADM) enthusiastically welcomes this morning's announcement by the Government of Québec and the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, which paves the way for a new and innovative framework for future financing and completion of major infrastructure projects in the province.

ADM is also delighted to learn that priority is being given to a public-transit system linking downtown Montréal, Montréal-Trudeau International Airport and the West Island, a project in which the airport authority has invested significant effort for more than a decade and that is absolutely essential to the future of airport operations and the development of air services in Montréal.

ADM also congratulates the Couillard government for its vision and the Caisse de dépôt et placement for its leadership with regard to this paradigm shift in the financing and undertaking of major infrastructure projects. It is a change that is totally necessary, given the current context of Québec's public finances.

Lastly, ADM notes with much optimism the support of the business community and other stakeholders for this historic agreement, which will help ensure that Montréal gains public-transit infrastructures that are both modern and efficient.
