Buonanotte restaurant was the place to be last Friday night. Outside, a line of impressive looking Harley Davidson motorcycles lined the block, as guests and VIPs walked a black carpet lined with leather. Inside the venue, guests partied like rock stars – enjoying signature cocktails, 5-star food, hip-shaking music of famed DJ YO-C and plenty of hard core fashion. The event? A preview of the Fall 2010 collection from Affliction Clothing.
A few Affliction-loving special guests were on hand to celebrate the unforgettable evening. They included UFC champion George St-Pierre who had the crowd in an uproar of excitement, Platinum recording R&B and hip hop artist Massari, American actor Stephen Dorff, Quebec's own rocker Jonas and UFC elite fighters Paul Daley, Yoshiyuki Yoshida, Sam Stout and Frankie Edgar.
Recognized around the world for its unique design aesthetic, Affliction Clothing is a lifestyle- driven apparel company catering to those who love to live fast. The line, which began in 2005, is an indulgent mix of style and graphic design, featuring divinely executed, dark and powerful themes. After successfully launching t-shirts, thermals and hoodies during its first season, the line quickly branched out into a full denim collection. The brand has since expanded to include a heavy-hitting collection of eye-wear, jewellery, footwear and headwear.
The brainchild of designer Eric Foss and marketing specialist Cliff Chason, the California-based label has become a wardrobe staple for everyone who is looking to add a little rebellious edge to their clothing.
For Fall 2010, Affliction's signature style is still at the forefront. Artistry and attitude characterize deconstructed, custom washed pieces embellished with the finest hardware and finishes. T- shirts and hoodies featuring dramatic, hand-illustrated, highly stylized, hard-edged designs have become the signature look of the line. Representing the struggle between good and evil, the rock'n'roll pieces constantly push the envelope when it comes to imagery and design, while always maintaining the highest sense of fashionable appeal.
The brand quickly became a household name thanks to its huge celebrity following that includes A-listers, rock bands and athletes. Affliction addicts include Emmanuelle Chriqui, Kristen Stewart, Criss Angel, Kate Beckinsale, Tony and Eva Longoria Parker, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Gene Simmons, Ozzy Osborne, The Hills' Audrina Patridge and Brody Jenner, the Playboy Playmates, Oscar de la Hoya and UFC champion George St-Pierre.
Affliction clothing is available in specialty boutiques across the country, including Below the Belt, Bleu Marine, Showroom, Underground and JCY.
