Afri-Can Marine Minerals Corp. has Retained the Services of Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton as Auditors to Replace KPMG LLP

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Aug. 29, 2005) - There were no unresolved issues or other reportable events involving KPMG, and Management believes that Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton is able to provide a level of services more appropriate to Afri-Can's requirements.

The change is effective for the year ended August 31, 2005, and will be subject to shareholder ratification at the Annual Meeting of Shareholders.

Afri-Can is a Canadian company, actively involved in the acquisition, exploration and development of major mineral properties in Namibia. Afri-Can's large and prospective license holdings, together with its growth strategy, place it as a partner of choice for Namibian Empowerment Groups.
