AfterCollege and PhD Comics Partner to Bring Jobs to Graduate Students in Academia

Collaboration Will Connect Employers From Industry and Academia With High-Caliber Student Readers of Popular Graduate Publication

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - April 28, 2008) - AfterCollege, Inc., the largest career network for college students and alumni, and Piled Higher and Deeper (PhD) Comics, the largest comic publication for graduate students, today announced a partnership that will bring jobs from employers on the AfterCollege network to Master's and PhD students who subscribe to PhD Comics. PhD publishes a nationally syndicated comic strip with a readership of more than 2,800,000 annually.

The new site, labeled "Grad Student Jobs" will be powered by AfterCollege and located at http://www.phdcomics.com/jobs/. Employers on the AfterCollege network will be able to reach a large audience of Master's students, PhDs and Post-Docs in disciplines such as engineering, life sciences and finance. At the same time, the new site will allow universities to post their post-doctorate, faculty and research positions and to distribute these opportunities to other universities in the AfterCollege network.
