Agari Expands Leadership Team; Announces Chief Marketing Officer and VP of Product Management to Drive Growth in 2015

New Executive Appointments Add to Company Momentum and Commitment to End a New Generation of Cyberattacks

SAN MATEO, CA--(Marketwired - Nov 25, 2014) - Agari, the leading provider of real-time, data-driven security solutions that detect and prevent advanced email cyberattacks, today announced it has named Kevin Cochrane as Chief Marketing Officer, and Kevin Kennedy as Vice President of Product Management. The addition of these world-class, seasoned executives underscores Agari's commitment to restoring trust in the email channel and the company's mission to help global brands eliminate email threats, protect customers, and preserve brand reputation.

"Agari has seen tremendous growth in the past few months with the introduction of the Agari Trust Network, adding former Interwoven CEO Martin Brauns to our board, and closing a $15 million Series C funding round to further fuel our mission," said Patrick Peterson, Agari founder and CEO. "With the addition of Kevin Cochrane and Kevin Kennedy, we're poised to aggressively scale Agari and take the company to the next level. This is the latest example of how Agari is rapidly growing, and underscores our dedication to transform the security landscape by creating a world safe from cyberattacks."

Both Cochrane and Kennedy have deep experience and success in helping to build startups from their infancy to $100 million-plus businesses. As the co-founder of Interwoven, Cochrane grew the company to more than $200M in revenue and helped take the company to its blockbuster 1999 IPO. Cochrane comes to Agari most recently from OpenText, where he was Chief Marketing Officer and oversaw all strategic and operational aspects of global marketing. Prior to OpenText, he was Vice President of Product Marketing at Adobe Systems, Inc. responsible for Adobe's Experience Manager product line.

As CMO at Agari, Cochrane will be responsible for driving worldwide brand and demand efforts to help educate global companies on the email threat landscape, stop a new generation of security attacks, and prevent cybercriminals from compromising consumer identities and corporate data.

"I'm tremendously excited to be joining the talented team at Agari as we work to create a world free of cyberattacks," said Cochrane. "Agari will be the preeminent, market leading data solution to identify who's good and who's bad, so that marketers and entire global organizations can enjoy a trusted relationship with their customers that is untarnished by cybercriminal activity."

Kennedy joins Agari from Juniper Networks, where he was Senior Director of Security Product Management. A proven leader of business growth, Kennedy was responsible for the overall Juniper Security portfolio, growing the business to more than $100 million during his time at the company. Prior to Juniper, Kennedy was Director of Product Management at Cisco IronPort Systems, where he led the highest-growth business in the Cisco Security portfolio, growing bookings by 400 percent in three years.

As head of Product Management at Agari, Kennedy will oversee management of a slate of data-driven, cloud solutions that companies use to detect and eliminate email threats targeted at their customers.

"Agari has a unique approach that is laser-focused on reestablishing trust in email," Kennedy said. "I'm extremely enthusiastic to be joining Agari and to help lead product management efforts as we expand into multiproduct portfolios."
